Handmade criss cross sandals Ancient Greek modern, made with extra soft leather. The women’s summer shoes Melpomene are one of our most special designs. They have very soft thin straps that embrace the upper part of the foot creating an X. They close on the heel with zipper, while the front of the foot is free. Their form is not wide so they are ideal for thin feet.

Melpomene

Melpomene was one of the nine Muses, the Muse of Greek mythology and tragedy. Its name comes from the verb melpo = I sing because it was originally considered the muse of music. The asteroid 18 (1852) took the name of Melpomene.
