Andromache was a mythical princess, the wife of Hector, the hero of Troy, but also the title of a tragedy by Euripides and Rakinas. Hector is said to have lost his life at the hands of Achilles because he did not listen to her advice not to fight with him. The asteroid 175 (1877) took the name of Andromache.
